Panel Talk: FEMMES: TAKING UP SPACE!

What do you do when there's no space for you? You make your own. Tobi Stanley, Matisse Laida and Aretha Brown come together to talk about building creative spaces, communities and practices on their own terms. From skateboarding and apparel to food, culture, public art and community programs, each has created platforms that make room for people, ideas and identities that aren't always represented in mainstream creative spaces. The conversation will explore independence, collaboration, community, self-determination, the realities of building something from the ground up, and the joys of creating space for yourself and others.
