Join us for a special evening where Indian Classical Raga, Kirtan, Bhakti and live electronic music come together in an evolving journey of sound, rhythm and movement. Beginning in the traditional world of Raga and Kirtan, Shivam Rath brings his unique blend of Crystal Slide, vocals, electronic Tabla and live looping, joined by special guest musicians. As the evening unfolds, the music gradually transforms. Acoustic instruments become loops. Mantra becomes rhythm. Raga meets bass. Ancient musical traditions meet modern music production. A second-generation musician, Shivam has spent more than a decade performing and teaching internationally, studying Indian Slide Guitar with Debashish Bhattacharya, Shakuhachi with Riley Lee and Tabla with Chota Lal Mishra. His work explores the meeting point between ancient musical traditions and contemporary sound ~ from intimate Raga and Kirtan gatherings through to immersive electronic journeys and festival performances.
