REBELS (Sat 2:30pm)

Transit Elevate proudly present REBELS! A celebration of ambition, artistry and the fearless spirit of young performers, REBELS brings together the Elevate Youth Training Program in a triple bill of Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Performing Arts works. In NEXT, the Musical Theatre artists step inside the audition room, a space charged with possibility, pressure, hope and uncertainty. Through movement, song and storytelling, the work explores the dreams that pull artists forward, the emotional weight of wanting something deeply, and the resilience and courage required to keep showing up for a life in the theatre. At once intimate and exhilarating, NEXT celebrates the artists brave enough to ask: what comes next? The Contemporary stream presents CHAOS, a visceral and constantly shifting work exploring the tension between control and anarchy. Drawing from existing repertoire alongside newly created material, bodies collide, unravel and reorganise within a world that refuses to stand still. A short dance film precedes the work, offering a cinematic prelude into the world of CHAOS. Closing the evening, REBELS sees the Performing Arts cohort explode onto the stage to a soundtrack of iconic pop-punk and rock anthems. Loud, unapologetic and packed with attitude, REBELS celebrates individuality, defiance and the freedom to take up space. Driven by the rebellious energy of a generation determined to do things differently, it brings the evening to a bold and exhilarating close. Together, these three works form REBELS, an evening about dreaming boldly, embracing uncertainty and having the courage to forge your own path. The next generation of artists step forward, find their voice and claim the stage as their own. Strictly limited season. Book today to avoid disappointment. *Please note that this production contains strobe lighting and theatrical fog
