Sauna Aufguss Tuesdays | A Guided Sauna Ritual in Preston

Sauna Aufguss is a guided sauna ritual, led start to finish by a trained Aufguss Master. Five things working at once: steam, aroma, music, towel work, and someone guiding you through it. Aufguss means infusion in German, and the practice has been part of European sauna culture for decades. Yours is led by Sauna Master Amanda, who trained in London under the Director of the British Sauna Society. Whether you want a proper reset, a bit of European sauna culture, or just a better way to spend a Tuesday, this is not like any sauna session you have had before. What Happens Water infused with pure essential oils is poured over the hot sauna stones. Steam rises. Your Aufguss Master moves it through the room with rhythmic, choreographed towel work set to music, and the heat arrives in waves you can feel land on your skin. It builds in rounds, with time to cool between each one. Each week brings a different blend: frankincense, citrus, lavender, mint, eucalyptus. Our minds are always ‘on.’ Aufguss creates a dedicated moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your body and senses. This multisensory ritual amplifies the heat and energy of the sauna through movement, aroma, and intentional presence. It’s a ritual that restores, awakens, and reconnects. What to Expect • A 55 minute guided ritual in our Finnish sauna • Essential oil infusions, towel work and music, led by your Aufguss Master • Rounds of heat with time to cool in between • A small group. 15 people, so there is room to breathe • Phones stay in the lockers • Step out at any point you like. There is no expectation to stay in • Leave feeling energised, cleansed, and refreshed Key Details • When: Fortnightly on Tuesdays, alternating with BARE (clothing-optional version) • Sessions: 7:00pm to 7:55pm, and 8:00pm to 8:55pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before your session so you can shower and be seated on time.
