Join us for this creative wellbeing program designed for people living with dementia and their carers. Join us on selected Wednesdays from 10:30am - 12pm and connect through group discussion, slow-looking exercises, and hands-on creative activities in a welcoming and supportive environment. Each 90-minute session begins with a guided exhibition tour and discussion of selected artworks, led by an experienced art educator. Tours are thoughtfully designed to support mobility needs, with portable seating available throughout to ensure comfort and accessibility. Following the tour, participants will take part in an enjoyable, guided creative activity inspired by the artworks explored. Bookings are essential, as places are limited to ensure a meaningful and supported experience for all participants. About the venue MAC yapang (Museum of Art and Culture, yapang) is located in Booragul on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The venue offers step-free access, accessible amenities, accessible parking and public spaces designed for ease of movement. Parking is available for cars and buses, and MAC yapang can be easily reached by car, public transport, bicycle or water. A wheelchair and quiet seating within the exhibition spaces are available on request.
