Balancing Act: Exhibition Celebration with Deanne Newland

Join us to celebrate the launch of Balancing Act, a solo exhibition by Swansea artist Deanne Newland. Presented through mixed media ink works on Yupo paper, Balancing Act is an exploration of how we steady ourselves in a world that is always shifting. Using stacked forms and delicate botanical details, Deanne reflects on the quiet ways we hold things together while navigating life's challenges. The exhibition invites you to slow down and consider how fragility can carry its own resilience. Meet the artist and celebrate this thoughtful exhibition with fellow art lovers and members of the community. About the artist Deanne Newland is a practising artist and art tutor based in Swansea NSW. She studied at the University of Newcastle, completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Diploma in Education. Her artistic practice is shaped by the coastal environment she calls home, along with extensive travels throughout Australia and overseas. Deanne has exhibited widely, received awards and sold work to collectors in Australia and internationally. Her work explores themes of resilience and fragility through layered colour, coastal influences, delicate botainical designs and expressive mark-making. Deanne is drawn to painting trees and rock formations, balancing these subjects with intuitive and experimental mark making.
