Everyone Belongs in Lake Mac: Anti-Discrimination Training | 16 September

Build understanding of racial discrimination and learn practical skills to recognise, respond to and report it. Belonging starts with all of us. During Welcoming Week (10–20 September), Lake Macquarie City Council is offering free training to help strengthen cultural safety and inclusion across our community. Join All Together Now for a free Racial Discrimination Training workshop. Grounded in lived experience and evidence-based practice, this session builds understanding of racism and racial discrimination and provides practical skills to recognise, respond to and report discriminatory behaviour. Participants will strengthen their knowledge and confidence, reflect on their own practice, and learn ways to contribute to more inclusive, culturally safe workplaces, services and communities. This event is designed for community services practitioners, Council employees, community organisations and others interested in fostering belonging and inclusion in Lake Macquarie. Through Everyone Belongs in Lake Mac, All Together Now helps participants build understanding of racism and its impacts while strengthening practical skills to recognise, respond to and prevent discrimination.
