Get creative with Sarah from Holmeswares and make your own unique set of earrings. MAC Presents: Maker in Residence is a program celebrating the local artists, makers and designers behind the unique products available at shopMAC. As part of Make and Create Week, local maker Sarah from Holmeswares is offering a special hands-on earring-making experience at MAC yapang. Make your own earrings Step 1: Book your session Choose your preferred session time and pre-purchase your earring-making experience. Step 2: Make your earrings Come to MAC yapang on Friday 9 October and create a bespoke pair of earrings with Sarah. Choose from three shapes, with a black or white base, then paint and assemble your own unique pair to take home. Step 3: Wear them with pride When someone says, ‘I love your earrings’, you can say, ‘Thanks, I made them!’ Event details Cost: $24 + booking fee (all materials included) When: Friday 9 October Session length: 45 minutes Session times: 10:30am | 11:30am | 12:30pm Who: Ages 7 and over. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Holmeswares MAC yapang The Museum of Art and Culture (MAC yapang) is located at the end of First Street, Booragul, on the edge of Lake Macquarie. MAC has ramp access for wheelchairs and prams, baby changing facilities and accessible toilets. MAC yapang can be reached easily from the lake foreshore cycleway, the water, or by public transport. There is parking for cars, and buses with accessible spaces available, on-site and adjacent to the Hunter Rowing Club.
