Join KSP Fellow Katie Pope for a workshop focused on exploring different points of view in fiction. Participants learn about various narrative perspectives, including first-person plural, and practice writing from these viewpoints to enhance their storytelling skills.

A Different Perspective on Point of View Do you want to understand different points of view and explore their effect on fiction? Would you like to experiment with interesting perspectives like first-person plural? This is your chance to experiment with perspective and point of view in fiction with KSP Fellow Katie Pope. In this workshop, you will: • Learn how different POVs are used in fiction • Explore the effect of first-person plural on narratives • Practise writing from different points of view • Develop a toolkit to approach perspective in your own writing Event Details: Date: Saturday, 24 October 2026 Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm Tickets: $25 KSP Members, $40 Non-members What to Bring: A notebook and pen (or however you like to take notes) About the Facilitator: Katie Pope is a writer of fiction and poetry from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. Her work often features speculative elements and experimental forms. She is studying a Master of Arts (Creative Writing) at Curtin University. Her creative work has been published locally and nationally, including in TEXT, The Suburban Review, The Little Journal and Witcraft. In 2025, Katie appeared as a storyteller at the Perth Festival. Spaces are limited. Book now and start your journey to master perspective. This workshop is proudly hosted by the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre and supported by the Shire of Mundaring.
