Our Bauer Blooms Flower Arranging Workshop is designed to be more than just a flower workshop. It’s an opportunity to take a breath, be present, get your hands busy and enjoy a little time for yourself (or a fun morning out with your favourite people). We believe creativity can be grounding, connection can happen in the simplest moments, and there’s something special about creating something beautiful with your own two hands. Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply someone who loves flowers, this is a relaxed, laidback experience where no experience or green thumb is needed. We’ll guide you through the process step by step, giving you the confidence to create a beautiful bouquet that’s uniquely yours- and one you’ll get to take home. 🌷 What to expect Throughout the workshop, we’ll share some of the behind-the-scenes knowledge and techniques florists use to bring a bouquet to life, including: Meet your flowers: Learn about the flowers you’re working with, where they come from and a little about their origins. Colour theory made simple: Discover how to use a colour wheel to combine colours, create contrast and bring your bouquet together. Flower prep 101: Learn how to prep and strip your stems, care for your flowers and learn special techniques on how to prep your roses Florist techniques: Explore the basics of bouquet composition, from choosing your focal flowers to layering supporting blooms, fillers and foliage, with simple techniques to help you structure your arrangement. Make it your own: Get creative, experiment with colour and composition, and enjoy the process of creating a bouquet that reflects your own style. The finishing touches: Choose your favourite custom wrapping paper and ribbon to finish your bouquet with a little extra personality. And of course, we’ll leave plenty of time for photos with your finished masterpiece- because a bouquet this beautiful deserves its moment! 🍵 A little something to enjoy What’s a creative morning without a few treats? We’ve partnered with some lovely local businesses to make the experience extra special: Hibi Cafe: Made-to-order matcha lattes, freshly prepared for you to enjoy.
