Chair Ballroom Dancing

Put on your dancing shoes, take a seat and enjoy the rhythm! Join us during Seniors Week for a fun and welcoming Chair Ballroom Dance session designed to bring the joy of dance to a seated setting. Enjoy music and learn simple ballroom-inspired arm movements, rhythms and dance sequences, all from the comfort of a chair. This gentle and inclusive activity is a great opportunity to get moving, have a laugh, meet new people and enjoy the social side of dancing. Movements can be adapted to suit different abilities and comfort levels, and participants are encouraged to take part at their own pace. There’s no need for a dance partner and absolutely no previous dance experience is required. Just come along, take a seat and enjoy the music and company. All abilities are welcome. Come for the movement, stay for the music, laughter and connection! Have a question? Please call (08) 9470 1155, email [email protected], or pop in for a chat with our friendly receptionist at Harold Hawthorne Community Centre.
