Rocky Bay's Epilepsy and Seizure Management Training equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to recognise and support an individual experiencing a seizure, including providing first aid and administering emergency medication if needed. This training is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with epilepsy and promoting their participation in daily activities. Key aspects of epilepsy and seizure management training: • Understanding Epilepsy and Seizures: Training provides an understanding of epilepsy, including different seizure types, triggers, and the impact of epilepsy on individuals. • Seizure Recognition and First Aid: Participants learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of various seizures and how to provide appropriate first aid. • Emergency Medication Administration: Training covers the administration of emergency medications, such as midazolam, in accordance with a seizure management plan and emergency medication plan.
