Higher Ground - The Future of WA's University Sector

WA is weighing the biggest restructure of its university sector in a generation. A group of WA leaders have been tasked with developing a business case on the potential merger of The University of Western Australia, Curtin University and Murdoch University. The implications reach well beyond university campuses. The decision will affect graduate pipelines for the resources, defence and health sectors, the state's research capacity, major property holdings and WA's standing as an international education destination. On Tuesday 24th November, Seven West Media will host an exclusive breakfast at Crown Perth. Mark Barnaba AM is one of Australia’s leading businessmen and is the Chair of the steering committee developing the business case for the proposed merger of WA’s public universities. Join Mark for a discussion on how reform could lead to a stronger, sustainable higher education system.
