Want to learn how to make beats, write songs, record your own music and build your confidence as a performer? Victoria Park Community Centre is excited to welcome SOUNDTRAKX for a FREE youth music program giving young people the opportunity to get hands-on with music creation in a supportive, real-world studio-style environment. Designed for young people aged 12–25, the SOUNDTRAKX Vic Park Youth Music Workshops are about much more than learning music. They’re about creativity, connection, confidence and giving young people a space to find and develop their own sound. Across the program, participants will explore: 🎧 Beat Making – learn how beats and tracks are created and start producing your own music. ✍️ Songwriting – turn ideas, stories and experiences into lyrics and songs. 🎙️ Recording – experience the recording process and learn how music comes together in a studio environment. 🎤 Performance – develop confidence, performance skills and the ability to share your music with others. You’ll work alongside experienced mentors, learn through practical hands-on sessions and have the opportunity to develop your skills in an encouraging environment. No previous music experience is required and all abilities are welcome. Program Details 📅 Starts: Wednesday, 9 September 2026 ⏰ Workshop time: 4:30pm–6:45pm 📍 Victoria Park Community Centre 248 Gloucester Street, East Victoria Park WA 6101 The program runs across September and October, with the final program date on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Please note that due to venue availability, one workshop during the program will be held on Friday, 16 October rather than Wednesday. FREE – but places are very limited! There is no cost to participate, but this is a small-group pilot program with spaces limited to just 8 participants. Registering your interest does not automatically guarantee a place in the program. SOUNDTRAKX will review Expressions of Interest and select participants for this pilot. Interest beyond the available places will also help demonstrate the demand for ongoing youth music opportunities in Victoria Park.
