Walk for Reconciliation with Murdoch University

Join us at Kaarta Koomba (Kings Park) for the 2026 Walk for Reconciliation - a sensory journey through the wildflower trails of this place of deep significance to the Noongar people, as we celebrate the oldest living culture on earth. Walk with Murdoch The walking time scheduled for Murdoch University is 12:20 PM. A free shuttle will be departing from the South Street campus at 11:40 AM, and returning at 2:10 PM. You can join us for just the walk, or stay and enjoy the full day of performances and activities. What to Expect The event begins at 10:00 with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, before walkers move through Kaarta Koomba together at story points along the trail. This is a place where stories have been told for tens of thousands of years - this walk is a chance to listen, to learn, and to be part of that continuing story. One walk, open to everyone - with a separate dedicated track for women's business for those who choose it. Along the way, experience the sights, sounds and living culture of Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. When the trail ends, the day doesn't. The main stage is programmed from morning to close with performances, activations and a place to land, connect and be part of the reconciliation community.
