A Women of Cacao Sunshine Coast Gathering A Women of Cacao Sunshine Coast Gathering Join us for a relaxed afternoon of cacao, clay and connection on the Sunshine Coast, as part of the global Women of Cacao Summit 2026. Over three hours, you'll sip cacao while getting your hands into clay and creating your very own handmade cacao mug. As we make, we'll talk cacao. Where does cacao actually come from? How does it go from a fruit growing on a tree to the cacao we drink? What is ceremonial cacao? How has cacao been used throughout history? And what does the world of cacao look like beyond the chocolate most of us know? We'll explore cacao from origin to cup - its history, cultivation and production, the women and communities behind it, its traditional uses and its place in the modern world. Nothing too serious and no prior knowledge needed. This isn't a class. It's an opportunity to get curious about something many of us consume but know surprisingly little about - while slowing down, making something with our hands and sharing cacao with good company. Discover the story behind the cup. 🤎 About Your Host - Claudia Natasha My journey with cacao didn’t begin in ceremony - it began in my kitchen, as a simple attempt to replace coffee. What started as a daily ritual eventually led me to Northern Peru and Montegrande, where I spent time with cacao farmers, walked the ancient sites and experienced cacao growing on the land where its story began. I didn’t learn cacao from a textbook. I lived it, walked with it and developed a relationship with it through experience. Today, I love sharing cacao in a way that is simple, grounded and honours the people, places and traditions behind what we drink. It’s an honour to bring that experience home to the Sunshine Coast as a Women of Cacao Summit 2026 Global Host.
