KINGFISHA Internationally acclaimed dub aficionados KINGFISHA have been crafting their own blend of modern reggae/dub for over a decade. Seductive, polished and undeniably catchy, the KINGFISHA sound is defined by its distinctive mix of deep all-encompassing rhythms, compelling synth lines, treated drums and melodic horn lines - all topped with an understated soul vocal. THE STEELE SYNDICATE The Steele Syndicate is a Brisbane-based, funk-rock septet that is raucous and punchy, with a genre-bending sound that is guaranteed to get you up and moving. This band is rock meets horns fusion, in a live extravaganza that will blow your proverbial socks off, and once the socks are off, your feet start burning because the dance floor is on fire. THE MADTONES ft ANDY V The MadTones embody the distinct sounds of Australian reggae/ska mixed with Brisbane’s signature West End Soul. The six piece combo feature the lead vocals of Rudi Quinzalez and Dougie Fresh, backed by the rhythm trio of Ali X Files (drums), Winston Chadwick (guitar) and Special Guest Andy V (keys, sax). Drawing on influences from MoTown, UK’s 2Tone Ska, Jamaican Rocksteady and Pacific Reggae, their live shows are wildly energetic and entertaining - from mid paced soul crooners to punky ska bangers.
