Comic Workshop: Make A Mini Comic & Reflect on Your Story!

A beginner-friendly comic workshop where you'll draw and reflect on your own story! No experience needed - just bring yourself!! Yes Help Network x Inarchie are teaming up to bring you a Storytelling and Comic Workshop. It's wellbeing, this time made fun and creative. Hear us out! You have a whole life happening. Plot twists, weird side characters, that one villain arc you're still recovering from, character development you didn't even know was happening until you looked back. And what do we do with all of that? Absolutely nothing. We say "yeah I'm fine" and keep on scrolling. As October approaches, we're kicking off Mental Health Month by doing something different: turning your life moments into storytelling. Not an emotional and heavy conversation and not a journal you'll abandon after page three. A comic. An actual one drawn by you, about a moment that really mattered. "But I can't draw." Then guess what - you are perfect! This experience will be open to all levels of drawing. And this is primarily a storytelling and wellbeing workshop that happens to use comics because speech bubbles are a genuinely great way to say the things you don't usually say out loud. You don't need talent or skill! Come slow down for two and a half hours. Make something. Reflect on the story you've been living without realising it's a story. And walk away with an actual thing - a little comic, made by you, about you - instead of another Tuesday you don't remember. Details 📍 6 Hassall St, Parramatta (Launch Pad, Western Sydney University) 🗓️ 1st October, 6:00 - 8:30PM Check our last workshop below! About the Facilitators Yeshal Mansoor Yeshal is an Australian youth advocate, community worker, and social entrepreneur based in Western Sydney. She's the founder of the Yes Help Network, a community platform built to empower young people through mental health advocacy, peer-led support, and wellbeing programs. If there's a young person in Western Sydney doing better because someone actually showed up for them, there's a good chance Yeshal had something to do with it. Tine Makumbirofa Tine is the founder of Inarchie (Inner Architect), a creative education company running workshops on wellbeing, life skills and creativity. She is living proof that "I can't draw" is a temporary condition, not a life sentence. Despire no art background. and not doing it while growing up, she taught herself from scratch and has now been paid for her art. So when she tells you no drawing skills are needed, she's not being nice - she's speaking from experience.
