About the artist: Eliabeth Anne Gervay is an Australian artist whose practice explores transformation, renewal, and the enduring relationship between people and the natural world. Working with drawing, natural materials, and recycled contemporary materials, she creates layered works that trace the shifting histories embedded in landscapes. Her process is grounded in mark making and shaped by her life on the land, where the realities of climate change inform an urgent environmental focus. Gervay's work has been exhibited widely across Australia, including in arboretums, galleries and community spaces and is held in private and institutional collections internationally. About the Coal Loader Artists Studio: This dedicated space is part of North Sydney Council's Creative Spaces Program and specifically supports artists and creatives with a community-focused and socially-engaged interest in sustainability and the environment to develop their practice over a 12-month, fully subsidised residency. Residents are supported to host open studios, workshops, talks and other events that invite residents and visitors alike to make, reflect, learn and connect. In 2026, eco-arts collective The Tree Veneration is in-residence, with a different collective member in residence every six weeks. For more information contact: [email protected]
