1967 Reflection Exhibition

Join us for the exhibition opening of 2026 and the Impact of Postcodes, on Thursday, 8 October from 5.30pm to 7pm in Waverley Library's foyer. Be inspired by historical photographs detailing Bondi's postal history, Redfern mail exchange and so much more! In 1967 postcodes were adopted in Australia, transforming the jobs of postal workers. The introduction of postcodes enabled automated mail sorting, with significant consequences for those engaged as workers in mail sorting. Library Galleries will also feature local artist, Paula Broom, with her exhibition, Locales I Love: Waverley, on display in the atrium and mezzanine. The exhibition will run until the 29th of October with the opening on Thursday, 8 October 5.30pm - 7pm. .......................
