School Holiday Writing Workshop with Kristin Darell

Author of the popular It's Twin a Thing series (inspired by her own life as a twin), as well as the Taronga Presents and Football Fever series, Kristin will guide young writers through a simple, creative process for inventing memorable characters and exciting story ideas. Through a series of fun prompts and activities, children will discover how to take things they already know about themselves, add a creative twist, and transform them into original characters and stories. It's an engaging, confidence-building workshop that shows every child they already have everything they need to be a storyteller. Perfect for children aged 7-12 years, with opportunities to write, imagine and create. Younger children are also welcome and can participate through drawing and discussion with support from a parent or carer as they work through the character-building activities.
