This practical, compassionate and trauma-informed workshop, delivered by Precious Wings, has been developed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to provide sensitive, family-centred bereavement care across the lifespan. Whether you are new to bereavement care or have years of experience, this workshop offers practical strategies, communication skills and evidence-informed education that can be applied immediately in your clinical practice. Why this workshop matters Supporting families starts with supporting the people who care for them. Most health professionals receive little or no formal education in bereavement care during their training or workplace orientation. Yet many find themselves supporting families through one of the most devastating moments of their lives. Without the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to navigate these situations, these experiences can be emotionally challenging and distressing for healthcare professionals, as well as for the families they care for. When we educate and empower health professionals, everything changes. They feel more confident, know what to say and do in those crucial moments, and are better equipped to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care. In turn, families receive the support they need during one of the most important moments of their lives, care that can shape their grief journey and long-term wellbeing.
