Merry Little Mosaics | Coasters & Christmas Ornaments

Create two round tile mosaics you can use as coasters or hanging ornaments with local artist Fiona Banner. Beginners welcome! A little snip, a little sparkle, and plenty of pieces coming together! Join us at Tipsy Doodle for a beginner-friendly mosaic workshop with guest teacher Fiona Banner, a local potter and mosaic artist with a wealth of experience to share. You’ll create two round tile mosaics to use as coasters or hanging ornaments—a lovely handmade gift, or a little something to keep for yourself. Fiona will guide you through the basics, including: * Safely using tile-cutting tools * Cutting tiles into the sizes and shapes you want * Arranging your pieces and adhering them to the backing * Grouting your mosaics to bring the design together You’ll learn how individual pieces become a finished design, with practical tips and friendly guidance along the way. Never tried mosaics? You’re in the right place. This workshop is designed for beginners, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn from an experienced maker. Bring a friend or come along solo for some relaxed creative time. Let’s make something merry, one little piece at a time! You'll find our studio at 80 Mather St, just on the line between Garbutt/Mount Louisa between the highway and Bayswater Road. We’re behind door #3!
