Hear personal stories of resilience, recovery and hope from people with lived experience of mental health challenges. Learn the importance of connection and community this Mental Health Month. Run by the Illawarra Mental Health & AOD Interagency, Living Books is a program where real people, known as ‘books’ share their experiences of mental health. As a ‘reader’, it's a unique opportunity to meet people with lived experience of mental health challenges, alcohol and other drug recovery. You will hear their personal stories of resilience, recovery and hope, and can ask questions to deepen your understanding and help break down stigma. This event is one of the many reasons to have a library card. Don't have one? It's free and easy to join online!
