COPPE/UFRJ, Latin America’s largest engineering research center and home to one of Brazil’s most established tech incubators, and Made in Rio, Rio’s largest AI ecosystem and the team behind AI Salon Rio, are joining forces around one big ambition: to turn Rio into the AI capital of Latin America. Silicon Valley was built on a culture of hacking. We're bringing that hacker mindset to Rio. From a pool of 530+ applicants, only 60 will make it into the room for the final 3-day AI Hackathon COPPE/UFRJ × Made in Rio. On Opening Day, the 60 hackers will be joined by a carefully selected group of leaders from across Rio’s AI ecosystem. Companies. Investors. Academia. Government. Startups.
