New for 2026: Pre-Conference Workshop Day - September 22 The Planning Committee is excited to introduce a new pre-conference workshop, designed to provide practical, real-world tools that clinicians can immediately apply in their practice. Fundamentals of Concurrent Disorders: Contemporary Issues and Medico-Legal Risk Mitigation Offered in collaboration with the Alberta Medical Association – Section of Occupational Medicine Target audience: Both trained and non-trained addiction Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists (everyone is welcome to register) This workshop will focus on practical and legal fundamentals of addiction care, evidence-informed approaches to complex clinical scenarios, and bridging gaps for clinicians without formal addiction training. Designed for both addiction-trained and non-addiction-trained providers, this in-depth learning experience offers applied knowledge, confidence, and clarity for clinicians caring for patients affected by substance use and mental health challenges.
