Philosophy for Everyone (Open Discussion, No Prep)

No preparation or background is required. We focus on practical themes (e.g., Power, Justice, Discipline). You don't need to study. We provide "jump-off" questions at the event to get the thoughts flowing. The Format & Rules ☕ We believe in structure so that everyone gets heard. We typically have 6 people at each table, and limit capacity to keep it small. • Moderated Tables: Every table has a dedicated moderator to read prompts, manage time ⏰, and keep the conversation moving. • Turn-Taking: One person speaks at a time. No cross-talk 🤫. • Respect: We focus on short, personal takes and stories. Dominating the conversation is discouraged to ensure everyone has space. • Detours: Allowed only if everyone at the table agrees ↪️. Socializing & Community 🤝 Meeting new people is hard, this is a low-pressure way to do it. • 7:00 PM: Arrive, grab a drink, and settle in. • 7:25 PM: Discussion begins (tables formed). • 9:00 PM: Wrap up discussion. • After 9:00 PM: Socializing.
