We've partnered with local favourite Chef Joey (creole soul, southern hospitality, and zero pretension) for a live, interactive appetizer-making experience right before your eyes. My roots are in creole and southern cooking but I love to cook all types of cusines — big bold flavors, community-style eating, and the kind of meals that bring people together. Whether you're a first-timer or you've been cooking for decades, I promise you'll leave my kitchen with new skills, a full belly, and a great story. Based in Calgary, I run interactive cooking experiences for everyone — from corporate teams looking to build culture, to families celebrating milestones, to solo foodies who just want to learn something new. Link to Chef Joey's blog is HERE Parking Information • The arrows serve as driving directions to YWCA facility from 17th Ave, 9th Ave and 15th St SE. • Any parking stalls that are not marked in green on the map are for staff use. During administrative hours (8:30-4:30 daily), parking in a staff stall is not permited. • After 4:30pm each day, staff parking stalls become available for public use. • All yellow street parking indicates public parking areas where no permit is required. • There are 11 visitor stalls at the entry point of YWCA lot. These spots are restricted to a 4-hour maximum from 8:30am-4:30pm and are available on a first come, first serve basis. • The visitor stalls are reserved for childcare pick-up and drop-off between 7:30am-8:30am and between 4:30pm-5:30pm.
