Tea & Tales at The Haviland | Victorian Tea Experience

Created in honour of the 190th anniversary of Esther Lowden’s birth, Tea & Tales celebrates the legacy of one of PEI’s and believed to be among Canada’s first female entrepreneurs through Victorian tea traditions, storytelling, history, and guided exploration. Guests gather around shared tables while unlimited freshly brewed tea or coffee is served alongside a traditional three-tier stand filled with rich sweet and savoury offerings. As the experience unfolds, stories move gently through the house through the presence of Dorothy, Esther’s eldest daughter, inviting guests into the atmosphere and traditions of Victorian PEI. This is not a performance to watch, but an experience to step into. A slower moment shaped by conversation, candlelight, history, and quiet elegance.
