Join us on October 7th to celebrate and recognize inclusive employers in Nova Scotia! Join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and fun during National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) as we recognize inclusive employers, highlight the value of mentorship through MentorAbility, and celebrate disability inclusion in Nova Scotia workplaces. Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Location: Lions Head Tavern, 3085 Robie St, Halifax, NS B3K 4P7 Accessibility: This location has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible. Event Highlights • A MentorAbility panel discussion of participants sharing their mentorship experiences and the program's impact. • An intentional networking activity to help attendees meet new people and build connections beyond their professional circles. • Opportunities to learn more about getting involved with MentorAbility. • Door prizes, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, laughter, and lots of fun! This event is part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), recognized throughout October as an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities in the workforce, raise awareness about inclusive and accessible employment, and encourage employers and communities to continue breaking down barriers to meaningful participation in the workplace. Cheers to Inclusion! is hosted by the MentorAbility Nova Scotia Hub through TEAM Work Cooperative and brings together employers, job seekers, community partners, and employment-service professionals to celebrate progress, share experiences, and build new connections.
