Elevate your Bachata with 4 weeks of technique, connection, movement & partnerwork, plus personalized feedback in a small-group setting. About the Bachata Technique Series Elevate your Bachata. The Bachata Technique Series is a 4-week progressive series for dancers who already know the basics and are ready to take the quality of their dancing further. Rather than focusing only on learning combinations, Gürkan & Jennifer will break down the technique behind great Bachata—while still introducing new movements and concepts you can bring into your social dancing. Throughout the series, we’ll work on areas such as movement quality, body mechanics, connection, lead and follow, partnerwork, control, musicality, and the technical details that make dancing feel better for both you and your partner. What makes this series different? This isn’t a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum. With a small group and two instructors, we’ll be able to watch you dance, identify areas that can be improved, and adapt parts of the training to the dancers in the room. Expect: • Individual feedback and personalized corrections • Detailed breakdowns of technique and fundamentals • New movements, concepts, and partnerwork • Exercises designed to improve connection and lead/follow • Opportunities to apply the material to real social dancing • A progressive format that builds from week to week The goal isn’t simply to leave with more material—it’s to leave the four weeks moving better, connecting better, understanding your dancing more deeply, and feeling more confident in your Bachata. Who is it for? The Bachata Technique Series is designed for dancers who are already comfortable with Bachata basic steps and fundamental partnerwork. You do not need to be an advanced dancer. The series will include extensive partnerwork and partner rotation. Come solo or with a partner. To allow us to provide meaningful individual attention, registration is limited to 16 dancers. Meet Your Instructors Gürkan brings nearly 15 years of dance experience, with a background that includes performing, teaching, and training internationally across Spain, the USA, and Canada. His approach combines years of experience across different dance communities with a strong focus on technique, connection, and musicality. Jennifer is trained and certified in the Esencia Method in Spain, bringing a technique-focused approach to Bachata with particular attention to movement quality, body mechanics, connection, and partnerwork.
