Downtown Kitchener Speechcraft by Talk of the Town Toastmasters

A weekly workshop over 4 weeks to help participants overcome the fear & anxiety of speaking and connect more effectively with their audience Is the fear of expressing yourself holding you back? If you don't speak up for yourself and say what you really mean, how are you ever going to say what needs to be heard? Has any of these things happened to you? • Decisions are made within a group without your input because you couldn't speak for yourself. • You are called upon unexpectedly to voice your thoughts. All eyes are on you. "The well goes dry." Only after you are done, you think of all the things you WISH you had said. • "You are as ready as you'll ever be!" With your presentation completely memorized, you step up to the front of the room and the worst happens - you draw a blank! • Your audience appears disinterested. Some are nodding off. Others are showing signs that they'd rather be somewhere else. This is so demotivating ... after all your preparation! If you answered "Yes" to any of these scenarios, Toastmasters can help you speak with greater confidence. This Speechcraft Event runs ONCE a week for 4 weeks on Thursday afternoons from 4 pm to 5:45 pm throughout November. You'll be working with others to practise your speaking each week.
