Journey of Resilience

Great Osa-oni is a filmmaker based in the Region of Waterloo. Great's work resonates with the Waterloo Region Migration Film Festival as it reflects stories of immigrant resilience, cultural experiences, and community building. Created in KW as Great’s capstone project for Conestoga College’s Broadcasting – Television and Independent Production program, it reflects the spirit and experiences of our local community. This film tells the inspiring story of a determined Spanish immigrant who transforms her struggles in Canada into triumph. Through dance, she finds hope and motivation to inspire and support fellow immigrants on their journeys.
