The Magic in the Making: Discovering Learning through the Process of Play!

A program for parents/caregivers to take a closer look at the learning hidden in children's everyday play! Play is the work of children and an essential part of how they learn, grow and make sense of the world around them. Join Jessica, a Registered Early Childhood Educator and Resource Consultant, as we explore the value of play-based learning, the importance of the process over the finished product, and how everyday play experiences nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and development. This session will help parents and caregivers recognize the learning behind play, shift their focus from the finished product to the experiences that make learning meaningful, and take home practical ideas for encouraging play-based learning with their children. Each participant will receive a gift bag filled with materials to inspire play and learning at home. A Continental Breakfast will also be provided! Please note: This session is designed for parents and caregivers to participate in an adult-focused learning experience. As we are unable to accommodate children or provide childminding during this session, we appreciate your understanding in making alternate childcare arrangements.
