You can live in a city with a large LGBTQ+ community, go to queer spaces, use apps, and still find it surprisingly hard to actually meet new people outside of dating. That is why VoxHaven is bringing together gay, bi and queer men in Montréal for a night focused entirely on friendship and community. This is a guided social experience designed to make meeting new people easier, warmer and less awkward. Instead of walking into an open mixer and figuring everything out yourself, you’ll take part in a series of short, structured conversations with different people. VoxHaven manages the rounds and pairings, while optional conversation prompts help move things beyond introductions and repetitive small talk. Come solo or bring a friend. You do not need to know anyone beforehand. And this is not speed dating. The goal is simple: meet other gay, bi and queer men, have real conversations, and hopefully leave with a few new connections you actually want to continue. How Speed Friending Works 💬 Join the guided rounds During each Speed Friending round, you’ll meet a different person or small group. Each conversation has a clear beginning and ending, so you don’t have to worry about approaching strangers, interrupting conversations or figuring out when it is time to move on. 📱 Let VoxHaven guide the experience VoxHaven’s platform helps manage the pairings and rotations throughout the evening. You’ll know who you’re meeting, where to go next and when each round is changing, so you can focus on the conversation instead of the logistics. 🃏 Go beyond small talk Optional VoxHaven conversation prompts are available to help make starting a conversation easier. You might talk about interests, Montréal life, travel, hobbies, community, personal experiences, things you care about or unexpected things you have in common. You are always free to answer only what you feel comfortable sharing. 🔄 Keep meeting new people After each round, we guide the rotations so you can focus on the conversations rather than figuring out where to go next. Over the course of the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to meet several different people. 🤝 Reconnect after the rounds The structured part is only the beginning. After the final rounds, we leave time for you to find the people you connected with, continue conversations, exchange contact information and spend time together more naturally. The format does the awkward part for you. 🍹 A queer-friendly night out Grab a drink, settle in, meet new people and stay afterward if there is someone you want to keep talking to. Drinks will be available for purchase directly from the venue. 💛 More than a one-night connection VoxHaven is building an ongoing LGBTQ+ community both online and in person. Our goal is to make it easier to meet people at events and have ways to stay connected afterward, rather than having every interaction end when the night is over. The entire experience is specifically designed so that someone can arrive alone without knowing anybody and still have a clear, comfortable way to start meeting people. Many people come to VoxHaven events on their own. Early Bird A limited number of reduced-price tickets are available for people who register early. Regular Ticket Includes the full VoxHaven Gay & Bi Men’s Speed Friending experience. Community Supporter Community Supporter tickets provide the same event experience as Regular Ticket, while the additional support helps VoxHaven continue creating accessible, intentional LGBTQ+ community experiences. Choosing this ticket is completely optional. Refund Policy Refunds are available up to 14 days before the event. Refund requests submitted less than 14 days before the event are not guaranteed.
