Each piece carries Marka’s signature sculptural style, crafted from natural materials like wood, quartz, freshwater pearls and copper, and designed as a wearable statement of strength and resilience. A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Wellspring Niagara, which offers free programs for people living with cancer, from connection and belonging to building strength and navigating financial and workplace challenges. About the Designer Marka is an OCAD University–trained industrial designer whose work spans murals, textiles, woodworking, accessible design and, her favourite, sculptural wearable art. She works with natural materials, mixing wood, quartz, freshwater pearls and copper into bold, architectural pieces that explore scale, balance and tension. Her pieces aren’t simply accessories; they’re sculptures for the body, where precision meets instinct and form follows feeling. That discipline started at home. Watching her father, an Olympic swimmer, Marka learned that mastery is built through repetition and belief in yourself, and that strength runs through everything she makes. Her work has appeared at Toronto Mastercard Fashion Week, LG Toronto Fashion Week, Fashion Canada, Yorkdale, Square One and the Bell Gala, and on The Marilyn Denis Show and Rogers Television. Beyond the studio, she consults on design and creative direction for collaborative projects, and has long mentored and supported women through a number of women’s organizations.
