Shorts Programme : PEAK PRESSURE + Feature Film: THE SNAKE Shorts Programme: PEAK PRESSURE - Whether deeply personal or inspired by real life, these shorts follow characters at critical moments of change. Feature film synopsis: THE SNAKE - When Jamie collides with her venomous mother, her life blows up spectacularly, leaving her unhoused and newly single. This sets her off on a pig-in-a-hurricane journey for "home": breaking into her Nana’s house, a rejected bid to move in with her van-dwelling ex, and crashing at her best friend’s pied-à-terre, which ends disastrously after Jamie sleeps with her friend’s husband. This all lands her in the worst home of all, jail. There, Jamie finds the unconditional love she craves through Bozo, a dog she meets in the jail’s canine rehabilitation program. She eventually returns to her Nana’s house—this time, truly free. Please be advised that this film contains scenes of substance abuse.
