Asinabka Festival 2026

• Indigenous Music Showcase @ Club SAW • Indigenous Craft Vendor Market • Filmmaker Q&A's, Artist Talks, Industry Events, and Free Events Asinabka Festival is excited to present the best contemporary Indigenous film, music, and arts from Canada and around the world. This year's Festival takes place in person over 6 days with 18 separate film programs, including 8 feature films, and 60 short films. This year's Festival theme is inspired by a show called Stranger Things. The catalyst for the show is a missing boy abducted by a monster from an alternate dimension. Some major themes of the show are supernatural forces and secret government conspiracies. The horrors of abducted children remind us of the horrors of residential schools, and government conspiracies remind us of that one aunt, uncle, or cousin who saw a UFO, or who watches too much X Files. We're super excited to showcase all of the amazing films and artists at Asinabka this year, so come watch films with us!
