Auroring #1 – The Launch: Women’s Community Gathering

An afternoon for women to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and begin building meaningful community together in person. Auroring #1 – The Launch Where Connection Begins Every community begins somewhere. Ours begins with getting to know one another. We are delighted to invite you to the very first gathering of La Casa Aurora, an afternoon dedicated to genuine human connection, meaningful conversations, and the possibilities that arise when we come together. A little about La Casa Aurora La Casa Aurora is a newly established nonprofit community organization with a vision of creating welcoming spaces for connection, collaboration, learning, and wellbeing across generations. We have many ideas and projects we hope to bring to life, but we believe that meaningful community begins with something simple: getting to know one another. Before creating programs and activities, we want to listen, connect, and discover the people, experiences, talents, and ideas already present within our community. And that’s exactly why we are starting with Auroring #1. What is this gathering about? This first gathering invites women to meet in person, connect beyond social media, share what they do, discover common interests, and explore possible collaborations. We won’t have a formal agenda, sales pitches, or anything you need to prepare. Just come as you are, share what you’d like, and enjoy getting to know one another. Mommas, keep reading! We’re working to make this possible for you too. We are currently planning to have 1–2 childcare support persons on site for a limited number of children during part of the gathering. Spaces will be limited and arranged in advance, so if bringing your child is what would make it possible for you to attend, please contact us at [email protected] before registering. Whether you are an entrepreneur, a wellness practitioner, a creative, a community organizer, or simply a woman who would love to meet new people and feel more connected to her community, this gathering is for you. Perhaps you’ll meet someone you’d love to collaborate with, discover a service you can recommend, exchange ideas, find a new client or referral, or simply make a new friend. We also want to hear from you. What would you love to see in our community? What ideas, experiences, or opportunities could we create together? This is a chance to build trust and relationships, one conversation at a time. What to expect • A warm and welcoming space for informal networking and conversations. • An opportunity to introduce yourself and learn about others. • A few simple moments to slow down, connect, and be fully present. • Space to exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and discover new connections. • A few little surprises along the way, creative offerings, shared talents, and moments designed to help us connect more deeply. • Light refreshments will be provided. Women from our own community will share some of these special moments, including creative and intergenerational offerings. We’ll keep a few details as a surprise. Event details Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 Time: 3:00–5:00 PM Location: Centre Communautaire Tétreau, 361 Boulevard de Lucerne, Gatineau, QC Suggested community contribution: $15–$25 per adult Your contribution helps cover the venue and event expenses.
