Celebrate video storytelling with a free CBC Ottawa Creator Network party!

CBC Ottawa's Creator Network is turning 5! Come see the short docs, meet the filmmakers, and mingle with our diverse creative community. It’s been five years since CBC Ottawa launched the region’s Creator Network – where young, diverse storytellers tell their stories, through their own lens. On Tuesday, Oct 20th, we’re celebrating with an all-day summit, featuring a pitch development workshop (open to selected participants), an info session/Q&A for aspiring creators on how to get your idea from pitch to publication, and a screening/panel showcasing some of our latest short docs alongside the creators who brought them to life (featuring creators Monica Anthony, Nick Pouponneau and Paul Barasa). Finally, it's party time! Stick around for tasty snacks (featuring local restauranteurs who've appeared in our storytelling), a CBC selfie-station, exclusive swag and prizes, a live artist photo booth from local indie musician, illustrator, zine-maker and Creator Networker Hannah Judge, as well as cake and other surprises. It's a place where the creative community in this city can gather, network and celebrate together.
