NBR: Fan Fiction Night

They disrobe. They read. A different theme every month from Ottawa's trailblazing literary salon since July 2017. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In this "semi-curated" show, our readers choose their own selections corresponding to the theme/genre of "fan fiction." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Naked Boys Reading is an internationally produced literary salon featuring unclothed people reading to you: a blissful combination of literature, book nerds, and, of course, the human form! We are a queer-produced community show that's open to everyone. We celebrate all genders and sexualities. This is not erotic "adult entertainment" — which we're cool with — but that's not this. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THIS SHOW... • Hosted by ★ RHAPSODY BLUE ★ • Co-produced by Nicholas Surges • Presented by Tricky Ricky Productions ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. We cannot admit anybody prior to 7:00 p.m. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. sharp. Seating is first-come, first-served: The sooner you arrive, the better the view you'll have. If you're attending as a party of three or more people, it is best to arrive early to find seating together. For that, we recommend arriving by 7:30 p.m. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ NBR shows often sell out in advance, so we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance without delay to avoid disappointment. The advance ticket price is $24 per ticket (all fees included). If you're unable to pay online, or if the ticket price is a financial barrier for you, please contact us: [email protected] Tickets are refundable up to three (3) days before the show, but please note that the ticket sales platform service/processing fees portion is non-refundable (max. $3). Each ticket is also transferable, meaning you can gift or sell it to someone else. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are committed to body positivity and diverse representation. The line-up of readers for each show is usually a mix of new and returning readers. We strive to reflect the diversity of our communities at every show. Our success is partially dependent upon the availability of readers. We regret that the venue is inaccessible to some people. It is on the second floor of the building and accessible only via stairs. Non-gendered washrooms are available. We acknowledge that we operate on the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. We encourage everyone to learn about the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, "Honouring the Truth, Reconciling for the Future" (2015), and to visit Native-Land.ca.
