Say It Loud!- Black Poetry Open Mic

Say It Loud! is a Black poetry and community gathering created to bring Black poets, artists, storytellers, and audience members together through poetry, spoken word, freestyle, storytelling, and community. Now entering its 4th edition, Say It Loud! continues to create space for Black voices, creativity, connection, laughter, reflection, and joy. This is an intentionally Black-only event. Black spaces like this are important because they give us room to gather and express ourselves without having to explain our identities or experiences. They create opportunities to connect with one another, celebrate our creativity, share our stories, and simply enjoy being in community. Whether you’re a poet stepping up to the microphone or someone coming to listen and take in the atmosphere, you are part of the experience. 🎤 Black poets: Bring your words, your stories, your experiences, and your voice. New and established poets are welcome, as well as anyone who has never shared before but would like to take the mic.
