COMTO connects stakeholders, develops leaders, and strengthens transportation through training, advocacy, and partnerships. The COMTO Toronto & Region Scholarship Gala was created to support and celebrate students pursuing careers in transportation, infrastructure, engineering, planning, and related fields. At the heart of the evening is the COMTO Community-Centered & Leadership Scholarship, which recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to creating positive change within the communities they serve. This special celebration honours the scholarship recipients whose achievements embody COMTO's mission to connect untapped talent to opportunities across the transportation sector. Through the scholarship program, COMTO is helping to remove barriers to education, support emerging talent, and build a stronger, more representative workforce for the future. Venue The Eglinton Grand 400 Eglinton Avenue West Toronto, ON M5N 1A2 A Toronto landmark known for its beautifully restored historic theatre, The Eglinton Grand provides an elegant setting for an evening of celebration, connection, and recognition. Getting There By TTC The venue is conveniently located near Eglinton Station, which is served by TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 5 Eglinton. From the station, guests can take a short bus ride west along Eglinton Avenue or a short taxi/rideshare trip to the venue. By Car The Eglinton Grand is located on Eglinton Avenue West, just west of Avenue Road and easily accessible from major Toronto roadways. • From Highway 401: Exit south toward Avenue Road or Allen Road and proceed to Eglinton Avenue West. • From Downtown Toronto: Travel north via Avenue Road or Yonge Street and continue to Eglinton Avenue West. Please allow extra travel time during peak rush-hour periods. We encourage attendees to use public transit whenever possible.
