Field Trips: Beyond the Bloom

Join RCIScience for a relaxed, guided walk from the Wilket Creek Recreational Trail to the Toronto Botanical Garden. We’ll brush up on some basic plant facts then dive straight into the weird, practical, and hidden history of the native (and invasive) flora right under our feet. Expect a casual pace, plenty of "wait, what is that?" moments, and a fresh look at the landscape you usually walk right past. What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes and a healthy dose of curiosity. Event Logistics Wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. The walking pace will be gentle and there will be extended periods of standing. This is a rain or shine event.
