Field Trips: Salmon Run

Catch the annual Salmon Run on the Humber River with RCIScience and SCI AIDE. Conditions permitting, watch fish like the Brown Trout and Chinook Salmon attempt to jump over the Old Mill Dam on Toronto’s Humber River on this guided walk! Dany Ko leads a discussion on the salmon life cycle, migration, and ongoing research and restoration efforts. Filming and Photography Notice RCIScience will be filming and photographing this event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image and likeness being used in promotional materials. Please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. Event Logistics Please dress appropriately for the weather. Don't forget a hat and/or sunscreen! Comfortable, close-toed shoes for the short walk are highly recommended. Bring a personal water bottle and snacks, if needed. There are limited public parking spots available in the Etienne Brule Park lot. There is also limited street parking and nearby paid parking lots near Old Mill. Public bathrooms are located along the Humber River Recreational Trail. This is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, e.g. thunderstorms, we will make an informed decision on the day and notify attendees as soon as possible via the email they register with.
