— ENGLISH — Director Katia Café-Fébrissy in attendance In a brave effort to reconnect with her family, a Canadian filmmaker returns to her ancestral home of Guadeloupe to discover families torn apart over land inheritance, a relic of French colonial legacy. What begins as an attempt to understand a dispute over inherited land expands into a broader investigation of the colonial legal structure known as "indivision," which continues to shape generations of families across the Caribbean, revealing how questions of ownership are inseparable from belonging, memory and cultural identity. "An intimate and necessary documentary that turns a deeply personal family conflict into a powerful exploration of history, identity, and systemic injustice." — REELway Magazine Director: Katia Café-Fébrissy Canada · 75 min · Documentary Highlights: World premiere, Hot Docs 2026 (Persisters program) In partnership with RACCORD Followed by a Q&A.
