Japanese Matcha workshop 101 - Bampot House

Matcha lovers in Toronto! Come try 4 types of Matcha from Uji, Kyoto! Reina Sakao, known as Madame Matcha from Montreal, will be in Toronto on October 25 to offer a special Japanese Matcha workshop in collaboration with Bampot House! Reina is a fourth-generation member of a tea house family in Japan. In addition to importing a collection of Japanese teas for coffee shops, stores, restaurants, and individual clients across Canada, she is passionate in sharing her culture through Japanese tea ceremonies and tea workshops. During this Matcha workshop, you will: • Learn about Matcha, including what it is, how it is produced, and how to choose, prepare, and conserve it at home. • Learn how to properly prepare your own matcha using traditional methods. • Taste 4 types of Matcha from Uji, Kyoto, each with its own unique notes, paired with Japanese sweets (Wasanbon) traditionally served in tea ceremonies. Come discover Matcha from different cultivars by tasting 4 types from Kyoto, paired with Wasanbon, which is plant-based and gluten-free! It is a great opportunity to explore both Matcha and Japanese culture together. Purchase of Matcha products will be available after the workshop. Follow Tea SAKAO on Instagram for upcoming workshops and events. Looking forward to seeing you!
