Now We Build: From National Priorities to Practical Progress

This year's BHER Executive Summit on March 11, 2027 is about moving promising ideas towards implementation. Canada’s next phase of growth will depend on decisions leaders make now: how to prepare people for major projects, put new technologies to work, and turn research strengths into commercial opportunities. Those decisions reach across organizations and sectors. Employers need education and research partners who understand their challenges. Post-secondary institutions need clearer signals about where demand is heading. Governments need partners with the capacity to deliver. BHER’s Executive Summit 2027 brings these leaders together to build the partnerships Canada’s ambitions require. With a focus on AI, energy, health and life sciences, and national security, the Summit will examine where joint action can make the greatest difference and what it will take to get promising projects underway. The agenda will draw on opportunities emerging through BHER’s Leadership Tables and member conversations, connecting national priorities to concrete challenges in workforce development, technology adoption, and commercialization.
