On/Brand

Design Speaker Series presented by the School of Design. The School of Design (SoD) at George Brown Polytechnic is excited to be launching On/Brand, a behind-the-curtain speaker series about the weird and wonderful world of branding. If you’re at all curious about how projects go from pitch to living projects and all the messy middle in-between, this is for you. Through rich, informative, and interactive conversations with professionals who have made a mark on the design community in Toronto and abroad, On/Brand invites you to understand the strategy behind the design. We’re kicking things off with Laura Stein, Chief Creative Officer at Bruce Mau Design (BMD), who will be doing a deep dive into the work that went into developing The National Ballet of Canada. Join us for this inaugural event! November 18, 2026 School of Design 3 Lower Jarvis Street 6:00pm: Doors open, cash bar 6:45pm: Event start 7:40pm: Q&A 8:00pm: Mix and mingle On/Brand is a free event for students currently enrolled at George Brown (proof of enrolment will be required at the door), and $10 for non-students with all proceeds going towards the BIPOC Student Emergency Fund.
