QSA Unemployed Cafe Hang & Co-work Sesh

Mondays are hard for unemployed folks when the rest of the world is starting another busy work week. Come share your challenges navigating unemployment and get motivated to keep up the hunt! 🗓️ Agenda 11am-12:30pm: Grabbing coffee & chatting about feelings and frustrations about job hunting 12:30pm-2:30pm: locking into co-work time, body doubling for job apps and projects we need to be working on. 2:30pm - onward: Planning for next meeting & good bye! ✨Chat & co-work with - Arshi (he/they) - Founder of QSA Immigrant, Bangladeshi queer & transman organizing community programs in Toronto for over a decade. Arshi loves to chat about community initiatives and connecting people with resources. He regulates his nervous system during tough times by focusing on - planning trips that he will be able to afford some day, obsessing over reels of whales and turtles, playing video games, exploring interesting food spots and cooking. Currently unemployed and looking for work in the non profit sector. Oriana (she/they) - QSA Volunteer Oriana is a queer multidisciplinary artist from India who professionally works in developmental disability support services and advocacy. They consider themselves a collector of hobbies, lover of coffee, pets and making the world a better place ☀️ 📝Note: Bring laptop, notebook, headphones whatever you need to do your work in a cafe Pay for your own coffee/snacks etc. If you are employed and want to drop in you're welcome to but we will prioritize unemployed folks. This is a group specifically for queer south asian community. That includes Indo-Caribbean, Indo-African folks and folks of the amazing diverse global diaspora.
